SUNRISE: Building the Internet of Underwater Things

Sensing, monitoring and actuating on the UNderwater world through a federated Research InfraStructure Extending the Future Internet
SUNRISE will federate five testing infrastructures, deployed in heterogeneous underwater domains and representative of different marine applications, each empowered with a level of flexibility currently unavailable, which is ideal to test a very broad range of solutions spanning the whole spectrum of relevant technologies. It will also develop the needed toolchain for supporting pre-deployment, deployment and post-deployment activities and the platforms to integrate the underwater monitoring systems into the Future Internet, and for effective application-dependent decision support.
